Hot rolled steel coil is made of slab (mainly continuous casting billet) as raw material, which is heated and made into strip by roughing mill and finishing mill. The hot steel strip from the last finishing mill is cooled to the set temperature by laminar flow, and is rolled into steel strip coils by the coiler. The cooled steel strip coils are processed by different finishing lines (leveling, straightening, cross-cutting or longitudinal cutting, inspection, weighing, packaging and marking, etc.) according to the different needs of users. Due to the high strength, good toughness, easy processing and good weldability and other excellent properties of hot rolling steel plate products, it is widely used in shipbuilding, automobiles, Bridges, construction, machinery, pressure vessels and other manufacturing industries.
With the maturity of new control technologies such as dimensional accuracy, shape and surface quality of hot rolling and the advent of new products, hot strip and steel plate products have been more and more widely used and have stronger and stronger competitiveness in the market.

The production process of hot-rolled steel coils involves several key steps:
Raw Material Preparation: The initial step involves the preparation of the raw material, typically in the form of steel slabs or ingots. These materials are chosen based on their chemical composition and mechanical properties, ensuring they meet the requirements for the desired hot-rolled steel coils.
Heating: The raw materials are then transferred to a reheating furnace, where they are heated to a high temperature, typically exceeding 1100°C. This heating process softens the steel, making it easier to roll into coils.
Roughing Mill: After heating, the steel slabs enter the roughing mill, which is the first rolling stage. The roughing mill reduces the thickness of the slabs while increasing their width. This process involves multiple passes through the rolling mill, gradually shaping the steel into a thinner and wider form.
Intermediate Rolling: Following the roughing mill, the steel passes through an intermediate rolling mill. This stage further reduces the thickness and refines the shape of the steel, preparing it for the final rolling process.
Finish Rolling: The steel then enters the finish rolling mill, where it is rolled to its final thickness and width. The finish rolling mill typically consists of multiple rolls that work in tandem to achieve the desired dimensions and surface quality of the steel coils.
Coiling: Once the steel has been rolled to the final specifications, it is coiled into a compact roll using a coiling machine. The coiling process ensures the steel remains in a controlled shape and prevents it from deforming or breaking.
Cooling and Annealing: The hot-rolled steel coils are then cooled down, either by natural air cooling or through water spraying. In some cases, annealing may also be performed to improve the steel's mechanical properties and reduce internal stresses.
Inspection and Quality Control: Throughout the production process, various inspections and quality control checks are conducted to ensure the steel coils meet the required standards. This includes checking the dimensions, surface quality, and mechanical properties of the coils.
Packaging and Shipping: Finally, the hot-rolled steel coils are packaged according to customer requirements and shipped to their destination.

1.As Rolled
The coils will be delivered after rolling process without any
other treatment.
2.Skin Passed
The rolled coils will be skin-passed in order to remove the yield
point jog and avoid the stretcher strains. During the skin-pass
process, the defective section of the coil, such as tongue or tail,
will be cut of. The shape and surface quality of the coil will be
improved.
3.Cut-coil
The rolled coils will be leveled and the defective section will be
removed. The coil can be delivered cut-edge if needed.
4.Slitted Coil
The rolled coil can be sliced into several individual coils after
the slitting process.

The rolled coil will be skin-passed, leveled and cut into sheets.
The sheets will heat treat according to user needs. Due to the
careful inspection and removal of the defect, the fnal product
will have a good shape and surface quality.
There are 2 package ways for the sheets.
1.normal package the sheets will be fastened by steel tapeswithout wrapping. 2.box package The sheets will be wrapped in oilpaper and protected by boards from the sides and top direction. Stow-wood and tray will be fastened under the sheets. In order to avoid the rust and scratch during transport
and storage, it's better to choose the box package.
